your first visit
Visiting any church for the first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? We want your first visit to Seattle Baptist Church to be a refreshing and enjoyable experience for you and your family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home!" Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
There is a Sunday School for all ages followed by the morning service. Sunday school classes are smaller group settings where you are able to meet the people of Seattle Baptist Church and also hear Bible lessons that are geared toward your particular needs. These classes begin at 10:00 a.m. In the Sunday morning service you will enjoy wonderful singing from the congregation, choir and musicians, followed by a powerful and inspiring message from our pastor. The morning service is one hour in length, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
» For every service we provide safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for
children three years and under.
» For children four and five years old we have excellent classes that are fun,
friendly, and Bible-centered.
» In Children's Church there are skits, games, object lessons, and animated
Bible teaching for kids first through sixth grades.
» Our teen group meets at 10:00 a.m. for grades seven through twelve. Most
of the teens attend a class this hour and then join their parents for the
11:00 a.m. morning service.
We do not have a dress code at Seattle Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your first visit here at Seattle Baptist!
If there is something we missed on this list or if you still have more questions, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Seattle Baptist will be enjoyable! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you'll feel right at home from the very first moment you arrive. Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday Morning, or this Sunday or Wednesday Evening!
