Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not a Baptist, can I still attend?

It is our desire that Seattle Baptist would be a church for everyone who has a desire to know God and to live for Him. You do not have to come from a Baptist background, or hold to any particular religious affiliation to attend our services. We are convinced as Baptists that the King James Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God, and it is sufficient to point any sincere person to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and to right doctrine and beliefs.

How will I find nurseries, classes, and services?

Our property has two large buildings, which to a guest can seem overwhelming at first without instruction on where to go. Our greeters and ushers will be located in the main lobby by the Welcome Center and will be glad to help you find the appropriate nursery, class, and service for each person in your family.

What's here for my kids?

Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for every age child from birth through high school! At every church service time there is a safe, clean, and properly staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes on Sunday mornings at 10 and 11, and Wednesday evenings at 7:30. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. For students in the seventh through the twelfth grade, we have a Youth Group which meets every Sunday morning at 10. Most of the teens attend the Youth Group classes for an hour and then the morning service with their parents

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Seattle Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastoral staff and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here at Seattle Baptist!

Are there services at other times?

Yes. We have a Sunday evening service with different music and a different message from the Pastor that begins at 7:00 p.m. In this service you'll enjoy congregational singing, special music, and a challenging message from Pastor Cox. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. for a mid-week Bible study. If you are unable to be our guest on Sunday mornings, we hope that you'll visit with us during another service time.
