Visiting a church for the very first time can be a intimidating experience.
Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Seattle Baptist will be
refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to
experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people,
and a place where you feel welcome and "at home."
Here are a few answers to some questions you might have about your first visit:
When are your services?
Our Sunday services are as follows:
10:00 AM Classes for All Ages
11:00 AM Morning Service
7:00 PM Evening Service
We also have a Midweek service every Wednesday at 7:30 PM which includes a Bible Study for all ages and Children's Clubs.
(A nursery is provided at every service.)
What can I expect on my first visit?
You can't miss our Church buildings located just north of 205th St on 76th Ave W, with easy access to and from Interstate 5. The main entrance is on the west side of 76th Ave, and you'll recognize it by a sign near the street. Our parking attendants will help you find a place to park and as you approach the main building our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also be helpful in answering any other questions you may have.
Our morning service at 11:00 is a time to enjoy inspiring music from the church choir and hear a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Cox. This service is a little over an hour in length. Also, during the 10:00 hour, there are classes for children, teenagers, and adults. Our adult classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson directly applicable to your age group.
Where do I take my children?
At every service we provide a safe, clean, and well-staffed nursery for children 3 years old and under. For children 4 years old through 6th grade, there are fun, friendly, Bible-centered classes for each age group. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Our greeters and ushers are located in the main lobby and will gladly direct or escort you to the right classes.
Our junior high and high school teenagers meet together in the Youth Group every Sunday morning during the 10:00 hour. They have songs and games and then split up into groups for a Bible lesson. We encourage our teenagers to attend the Youth Group at 10 and sit with their parents during the morning service at 11.
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Seattle Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastoral staff and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here at Seattle Baptist!
If there's something we missed on this list, you may contact the church by phone or email, or you can ask someone when you arrive and we will be glad to help you. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or its been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope you're visit to Seattle Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we look forward to meeting you this Sunday!
